Our web development firm takes its name from New Haven, Connecticut's nickname, the "Elm City". Though Elm City Web Design has its roots dug firmly within the New Haven area, we've recently branched out into North Carolina.

Christopher Guthrie

Christopher began his web career in the late 1980s with online bulletin board systems, then moved onto the Internet and website design, programming and maintenance after the technology’s public inception in the early 1990s. After being employed at a few Internet related companies and working on high profile web site projects, Christopher decided to go solo and provide his own website services to the public.

Since 2004, Elm City Web Design has helped dozens of people and businesses from across the country. With an additional decade of experience in online event marketing, advertising and public relations, Chris also brings practicality and street-savvy to Elm City Web Design.

Situ Wei Jie

Situ's experience in Web programming includes C++, C#, Java, PHP, MySQL, Access, Photoshop, and many other programs and/or languages. He has the ability to communicate with the client and to deliver professional results in a timely manner while also providing assistance to clients long after their projects have been completed. Situ's drive is to make every client happy with their project.

Sumway Lin

Sumway has over 8 years experience with PHP and MySQL as a web developer. He has developed ecommerce websites, real estate websites, SEO, CMS, CRM, presentation websites, auto websites, price comparison scripts, and classifieds scripts. In addition, he's very passionate about every project he takes on and it is his aim to create pieces of work that look both stunning and function well. Sumway enjoys working with clients to exceed their expectations and to create a website that stands out from others in the crowd.
